Bought a new MacBook? Jobs says buy a new camcorder Steve Jobs on Lack of Firewire in MacBooks - Mac Rumors: In the latest email response from Steve Jobs, the Apple CEO responds to one customer's complaint that the new MacBook won't support HD camcorders: Actually, all of the new HD camcorders of the past few years use USB 2 Oh, thanks Jobs. I guess if I have enough money to buy a new MacBook, I've got enough to buy a new camcorder too? Jobs' reasoning works for taking Firewire off of MacBook Pros, where professionals would have good reason (perhaps) to upgrade to the latest and greatest, but it doesn't work for taking Firewire off of the entry level model [once the overstock of plastic MacBooks finally sell out].
