OS X uses Face Recognition on the Desktop I've noticed this for long enough that it's not luck -- all that fancy face recognition that's in iPhoto is also being used on OS X's desktop. When my background picture changes, the icons on the desktop move around so that I can see whoever's there. Pretty cool. See above for a kid surrounded by icons. Pixelation is "mine", not from image.
